Want to make your site popular? Everyone with a Web site wants people to visit it, especially businesses. There are many legitimate ways to allow surfers to find your site, but what would actually make them visit... and more importantly, return to your site? Have you thought about an online game? Okay, you may think "I take my business seriously and I don't want people to visit simply to play a game". Well, nobody watches the television simply for the adverts (or at least not many). A quick and simple online game can be used to bring visitors to your site, get them to come back, AND if they enjoyed it they will tell their friends. Once they are at your site you can inform them of other goods and services that you offer. Will any old game do? All good online games are popular, but depending upon your target customer base there are advantages to using certain genres. For example, action games requiring quick decisions are mostly popular with the large male demographic aged between 17 and 35. Puzzle games are especially popular with males and females between 25 and 39. Besides the genre, you probably don't want just any game to be associated with your company image. The games displayed on this site are purely for fun and I would not suggest using them on a commercial Web site, but how about a game along the lines of your business, or featuring your products and logos? The game could even be downloadable so the visitor can play offline and give copies to friends. This way your name, brand, products and services are being advertised the whole time. You could even put the game onto disk or CDROM and hand them out to potential customers (if that is how your business works). The continual advertising potential is enormous. Sound good? Where can you get one? Contact Playerama by clicking here, and tell me a little about your business. If you already have a Web site, include the address. We will give you a quote and I think you will be suprised at how little it can cost. Advertising on this site Everyone hates banner adverts. Everyone hates 'popup' adverts more. But, have you wondered why so many sites use them? It is simply because they work - if used correctly. Having 5 banner adverts and a popup advert on a single page will lose visitors and slow down loading. Also, having a banner advert at the top of the page which sticks out like a sore thumb is going to be ignored. So how do you get people to click on your advert? If you are interested in VERY low cost advertising on this site or in the Playerama newsletter mailing list, please click here and include details of your business and Web site address. |
